I am thrilled to be hosting two all-day Capturing Childhood Workshops this April 28 and 29.
This will be a comprehensive beginner-to-intermediate photography workshop. We’ll dive into the basics of the exposure triangle to get you out of auto mode and into manual. I’ll cover how to get those dreamy blurry backgrounds, moody silhouette shots, and how the heck to capture a shot of a lightning-fast two-year-old that’s not just a complete blur.
Already got the basics down? Great! We’ll also be up and moving around, tackling a variety of compositional techniques to shake up the standard “say cheese!” shots kids seem to love so much. We’ll break up into small groups to practice unexpected ways to capture those everyday moments as you see them.
We’ll also spend some time going over photo storage and organization, and the basics of editing in Lightroom. And I’ve got you covered for breakfast and lunch.
We’ll cover technical stuff, share some food, meet some new people. But most of all, I’m here to help you dig into a new skill set and discover a new part of you. Mother, daughter, sister, wife? Sure, that’s you. Now let’s stop and take a few hours to tap into you. I can’t wait to meet her.
